The World Bar Conference 2020 is hosted by the Hong Kong Bar Association (the “HKBA”).

Bookings for the International Council of Advocates and Barristers ('ICAB') World Bar Conference 2020 ('WBC2020') are subject to the following terms and conditions. By registering for attendance, delegates and accompanying persons confirm their acceptance hereof.

All bookings are provisional pending confirmation of receipt of payment in full.

Conference and event places are strictly limited and will not be confirmed until registration and payment in full has been received. Registrations are on a first come first served basis. All bookings are subject to these terms and conditions.

Accompanying Partners
Accompanying partners are welcome to register for the Gala Dinner, while the conference is reserved for full delegates only.

Disabled Access
The conference organisers will take reasonable steps to assist any disabled attendees. To facilitate that assistance, it is requested that attendees notify the Conference Organisers if they or any accompanying person requires any specific assistance at

Travel and Accommodation
Participants should make their own travel arrangements to and from Hong Kong and book their own hotel accommodation.  We have arranged preferential rates at the conference venue hotel, participants may wish to arrrange accomodation via this online registration system.

Participants are recommended to make early enquiries regarding any applicable visa requirements for entry to Hong Kong. Neither ICAB nor the HKBA accepts any responsibility therefor.

Accommodation Assistance
Any accommodation bookings made via this online registration system are routed to The Murray Hong Kong directly.

Neither ICAB nor the HKBA are party to any contract for accommodation. Neither ICAB nor the HKBA accepts any liability in relation to attendee accommodation arrangements. All claims against either ICAB or the HKBA (or their respective members) relating to or arising from bookings of accommodation are hereby excluded.

All payments will be processed using Paypal, a third party payment provider.

(a) Conference Cancellations:

If a delegate is unable to attend, a substitute delegate may attend at no extra charge. Details of substitute delegates must be advised in writing to at least 72 hours prior to opening of the conference.

Where no substitute is nominated, delegates may cancel in writing by 28 February 2020 to receive a full refund of the registration fee paid less a cancellation fee of HK$1,500.

(b) Accommodation Cancellations

Accommodation cancellations are subject to the terms of The Murray Hong Kong. Details will be available at the time of booking. Please contact The Murray Hong Kong for details.

Data Protection
It is intended that the names of participants will appear in a list to be circulated to participants. We shall also use the information provided herein to provide participants with information relating to the conference and future ICAB World Bar Conferences by e-mail. By completing the conference application form participants consent to the use of their personal details in this manner.

Third Party Businesses
References in the conference website and literature to third party businesses are made for the information and interest of conference participants. No endorsement is made or warranty given in respect of any business, goods or services referred therein. Neither ICAB nor the HKBA is responsible for the delivery of goods or services by these businesses.

Non Barrister/Advocate Attendees
WBC2020 is a conference predominantly for the members of the international bar associations of ICAB. ICAB and the HKBA reserve the right to restrict registration for WBC2020 to members of those associations. Without limitation to the foregoing, ICAB and the HKBA reserve the right to cancel the registration of any other persons.
